1. THE DEAL
You asked for KTLOS to come back. We heard you, and we are doing it.
Old tanks and healers from the Classic Era are already committed. Hardcore raiders are joining us. Former world boss guild leaders are merging with us ahead of time. That is not a rumor. That is the roster we are building.
We are not coming back just to “have a guild.” We are here to run this server and dominate it. Making that happen will require strong leadership, a clear structure, and everyone pulling in the same direction. A group this large cannot be managed like a group chat.
We will set the direction. Officers will execute it. Your part is simple: show up, do your job, support the team, and together we will take the server.
You asked for a dictator. Consider this the charter. Read it, understand it, and decide whether this is the kind of guild you want to be part of. If it is, welcome aboard. If it is not, there are no hard feelings, but this probably will not be the guild for you.
2. RULE ONE
RULE 1 — Respect Each Other's Time. We have a large roster to manage, so everyone is expected to contribute to a respectful and organized environment. Issues will be handled quickly and directly, without prolonged arguments or public disputes. If someone consistently makes the guild more difficult to manage, leadership may remove them. Our priority will always be the health and success of the guild as a whole. . |
What counts as not respecting each other’s time.
This list covers the most common issues, but it is not exhaustive. Leadership will use reasonable judgment when addressing situations that affect the guild.
Raising loot disputes during a raid after the designated discussion window has closed.
Backseat leading, repeatedly challenging calls, or turning voice chat into a debate.
Excessive pings, contacting officers about matters that belong in the appropriate channel, or creating unnecessary distractions during a raid.
Starting drama, spreading gossip, provoking officers, or attempting to divide the roster.
Continuing to argue after leadership has made a final decision.
Disrupting the experience of other raiders to make a personal point.
Expecting leadership authority from a previous guild to carry over here. Everyone joining this roster operates within the same structure.
How this is enforced
This document serves as the general warning and sets expectations before anyone joins.
Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate removal. Rank, tenure, performance, and personal relationships do not exempt anyone from the rules.
If you are removed for violating Rule 1, please respect the decision. Campaigning through private messages will not improve the situation and may reinforce the reason for the removal.
We are building a guild that can compete at the highest level while still being an enjoyable place to raid. Respecting each other’s time is what allows us to accomplish both.
3. COMMAND
KTLOS has a clear chain of command. Feedback is welcome during the petition window and in the appropriate channels. Once a decision is made, however, we move forward together.

4. CONDUCT
In Discord
Read the pins and this charter before asking questions.
Use the correct channels. Raid issues belong in raid channels, and loot petitions belong in the loot petition channel. Officer DMs are not a substitute for either.
Treat people with respect. Toxicity, harassment, discrimination, and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
Keep guild business within the guild. Do not bring internal matters into other Discords, trade chat, or world chat.
Sign up for raids before the deadline. If you do not sign up, you should not expect a roster spot
In Raid
Be on time, in voice, and fully prepared with gems, enchants, consumables, and required addons. Unprepared players may be replaced.
When the raid lead is speaking, listen. Communicate necessary mechanics clearly and keep unrelated commentary to a minimum.
A wipe gives us information. Allow leadership to identify the issue, make adjustments, and move to the next pull.
Treat every pull with the focus and discipline expected on a Hardcore server.
Learn from mistakes quickly. Farm content should not require repeated reminders.
If you need to leave, notify leadership before the next pull. Leaving without notice may affect future roster decisions..
Roster
A Discord rank does not guarantee a raid invitation. Core status is earned through attendance, preparation, performance, and teamwork.
The bench exists to give each raid the strongest possible chance of success. Everyone should expect to sit when the roster requires it.
Alts are brought when they benefit the raid, not simply because someone wants to play one.
Raid 1 positions are earned through merit. If you are placed in another raid, support that team and perform well. Every raid will be organized for success, and consistent effort creates opportunities to move up.
5. LOOT COUNCIL
KTLOS uses a loot council (LC) system. We do not run another system within the guild
How an item is awarded
High priority / contested items are generally decided before they drop by the LC
RC loot council will be used by officers to help determine placement.
Input can be given on the RC addon or prior to raid. LC decisions are final.
Please refrain from being combative over loot and with a LC decision you may not agree with.
What council looks at
Progression comes first, but attendance, performance, reliability, and recent loot will all be considered.
Progression value: Does this help us defeat the next boss faster or more safely?
Main spec: Priority goes to the character and specialization actively raiding that night.
Attendance and reliability: Players who consistently show up will be consistently invested in.
Upgrade size: A major upgrade will usually outweigh a minor improvement.
Role impact: Tanks and healers may receive priority when an item directly supports progression.
Performance: Logs, assignments, preparation, and overall contribution matter.
Recent major loot: When progression is not affected, loot will be distributed across the roster.
RC Loot Council will be used when new content releases. Until the full loot table and item priorities are established, it gives leadership the flexibility to evaluate each drop based on the raid’s immediate needs.
Priority | Who gets considered first |
1 — Raid upgrade | Main spec for an active core raider, with preference given to the largest benefit to the raid. |
2 — Role lock | Tank or healer items when they meaningfully improve the raid’s ability to progress. |
3 — Off spec | Considered after all relevant main spec needs are met. |
4 — Alt / DE / bank | Alts are considered last unless that alt is actively being used for the raid. Remaining items go to the guild bank or are disenchanted. |
Additional Loot Rules
Trials are considered for uncontested main spec loot. Contested items normally go to core raiders unless the council determines that awarding the trial provides the greatest benefit to progression.
Items must be distributed exactly as awarded. Do not take, trade, or redirect an item without council approval. Deliberate violations may result in immediate removal.
Bind on equip items go to the loot council or guild bank unless leadership announces otherwise that night.
Recipes and patterns go to active crafters who will make their services available to the guild, not to personal collectors.
Loot council members remain eligible for loot but must step back from advocating for themselves when their own contested item is being discussed.
The Guild Master retains final authority over loot decisions and may override the council when necessary..
6. THE LOOT PETITION WINDOW
LOOT RULES DO NOT CHANGE ON RAID DAY. Questions or concerns about loot council rules should be raised before the raid,. Leadership may review or clarify priorities at that time. Once the raid begins, the established rules and decisions will stand. Loot disputes will not be handled during the raid. It is each player’s responsibility to understand the system, ask questions ahead of time, and use the opportunity provided. |
The window
Requests to change a loot rule must be submitted before raid day. This gives the roster time to review the proposal, raise concerns, and offer alternatives. Loot policy will not be reconsidered through private messages immediately before a raid. .
Post the request in the designated loot petition channel before raid day.
Identify the current rule, the change you are requesting, the reason for it, and who would be affected.
Other members may review, object, or submit a counterproposal during the same window. Concerns must be raised at this stage, not during the raid.
Leadership will review the petition before raid day. Approved changes will be announced. If no change is announced, the existing rule remains in effect.
On raid day, the written loot rules and any announced changes are final.
After the raid, members may petition for changes to future policy. Completed awards will not be reversed because of a disagreement raised afterward.
What is not a petition
The following do not count as valid loot petitions:
Starting a discussion about a drop in raid chat.
Whispering the loot master between pulls.
Posting a lengthy complaint after an item has been awarded.
Organizing other members to pressure the loot council.
Claiming that you did not know the rules after being given access to this charter.
Concerns raised through these methods will not change an award. Use the designated petition process before raid day.
Raid-night loot talk
Loot concerns will not be debated during a raid. If the council asks who wants an item, respond only with the requested information, such as the item and your specialization. Keep all other discussion for the designated petition process.
If you wait until an item drops to raise a concern, the existing rules will still apply. The petition window is the opportunity to ask questions or request changes, and each member is responsible for using it.
7. REMOVAL
Leadership may remove members whose conduct harms the guild, disrupts raids, or repeatedly creates unnecessary work for others. Formal warnings are not guaranteed, particularly for serious violations.
Reasons for removal may include:
Repeatedly disregarding Rule 1 or leadership boundaries.
Creating loot disputes during raids or campaigning against a council decision afterward.
Repeated absences without notice, leaving raids in anger, refusing to participate out of spite, or disruptive behavior in Discord.
Ninja looting, including in outside groups, as it reflects on the guild’s reputation.
Toxicity, harassment, or behavior that damages the roster.
Repeated conduct that wastes the time of leadership or other members.
Removal decisions are final unless leadership chooses to reconsider them. If a former member is invited back, they return under the same charter and expectations as everyone else. Private negotiations do not create special terms.
8. AGREEMENT
By remaining in KTLOS, you acknowledge the following:
You have read and understand this charter.
Loot is distributed through loot council, not by vote or open roll.
Concerns about loot rules must be raised during the petition window before raid day.
Loot decisions will not be debated during a raid.
You will respect leadership’s time, follow the established process, and contribute positively to the guild.
You are here to enjoy the game, support the roster, and help KTLOS dominate the server.
If these expectations do not work for you, KTLOS may not be the right guild for you. If they do, welcome back. KTLOS is resurrected. Let’s take the server.
